Biography
Formed in December 2003, Kilterr quickly built a reputation as a powerful live act playing with the likes of The Pale, The Marshall Stars and Alphastates. After building up a loyal following, Kilterr played to a packed house at Cork's Cyprus Avenue. The time came for the band to hit the rehearsal room and write some new material with the master plan being to get into the studio as soon as possible… The band went into Spectre Studios with Graham Finn at the end of 2004 and has just finished mixing and mastering a 4 track CD. Barry John Maher’s crunching guitar and expressive vocals are joined by piano to colour the energetic sound. Kilterr launched their debut promo CD to a packed house at Cork’s Cyprus Avenue in March 2005 and featured on Freak FM’s Freaqualizer compilation CD. Kilterr has also played the Cork leg of the 2005 IMRO showcase tour to a great response from both press and A&R representatives.  In October 2005 Kilterr’s “What about me?”  reached number 2 in the Irish unsigned MP3 charts at www.cpu.ie. Kilterr have just completed a four track EP with renowned producer Ciarán O'Shea planned for a self financed independent release in March 2006.
